Mark Slater

Co-founder and CEO

Mark is the founder of Pingup and has served as the company’s CEO since its inception. Mark is focused on securing Pingup’s leadership position through key partnerships while creating a culture of execution in the office. Prior to Pingup, Mark was a founding member of Karmaloop, and worked for a time at CMGi. He left London (his hometown) to attend Boston University and he is a fully committed “Old Malburian.”

Ron Braunfeld

VP Business Development

Ron is an experienced Sales/BD professional with deep knowledge of the mobile and internet ecosystem. Most recently Ron was President of SnipSnap, the first mobile app to allow a consumer to scan, save and redeem printed coupons on the go. In just over a year and a half, it has become the fastest growing coupon app on iOS and Android – approaching four million users with 70mm coupons snipped and saving consumers over $200mm. Previous to SnipSnap, Ron had high level business development roles at PayPal Media Network, WHERE, and MapQuest.

Dan Gilmartin

CMO, Head of Product

Dan has a passion for leveraging data to improve user experience and marketing outcomes. Having successfully led teams through high-growth periods and implementing strategies, he now applies these skills to his role as CMO and Head of Product at Pingup. Before joining Pingup, Dan help senior leadership roles in product and marketing at BlueConic, PayPal, WHERE, and Sprint. Dan is an active angel investor and advisor to many Boston-area startups. Outside of work, he likes to spend time with his wife and two kids, fish, golf and cook.

Ben Sack

Chief Scientist

Ben is a full-stack software developer specializing in cluster computing, machine learning, data mining, and artificial intelligence. He has worked with clients such as Bank of America, the New England Patriots, HSBC, Merck, Harvard University, and the State of California. As the 80th person to sign-up for Facebook, he has one of the longest dormant profiles on record. Ben’s a Graduate of Harvard University and a Hoopes Prize winner.

Matt Ciampa

Director, Finance & Operations

Matt started his career in commercial real estate but always wanted to apply the analytical skills from his background in finance and economics in a startup environment. He remains involved with his alma mater The University of Maine, where he co-founded a business plan competition for student entrepreneurs.

Justin Taylor

Business Development

Prior to joining Pingup, Justin worked as national sales manager for a start up soccer shoe company and sales director for AMC Outdoors magazine. A Boston/South Shore native, Justin attended college in New Hampshire and has also lived in Montana and New York.

Jennifer Jermantowicz

UX Designer

Jennifer is a user experience designer and developer with a background in storytelling and illustration. After graduating from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, she started her career as a freelancer and has continued to advance her skills in the startup world. When Jennifer is not designing user-friendly interfaces, you’ll find her baking something delicious or working on her next novel.

Eric Grigorian

Software Engineer

Eric is a software engineer, with a background in frontend development. He graduated in 2015 from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and has built a diverse background working for established companies such as Constant Contact and Kronos. In his free time, you can find Eric working on one of his many side projects, or planning his next trip.

Stephon McCoy

Product Manager

Stephon is a computer engineering graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout his career, Stephon has become a swiss army knife product manager accumulating skills across the tech spectrum including routing and switching, website development, digital marketing, and user experience. He has extensive experience in a consulting capacity with clients ranging from NHL teams to banks and non-profits. Stephon is a hands on product manager who focuses on efficiency, delivery, and simplicity. Outside of work, you can catch Stephon at food trucks and startup events around Boston, brewing beer, and traveling to as many countries and cities as possible.

Jackie Hallabeck

Customer Success Manager

Having worked in several Boston startups prior to joining Pingup, Jackie holds a strong fascination for data and metrics and using it to improve the customer experience. Mainly working on building and training teams in jobs past, she is bringing her onboarding skills to her role as customer success manager. In her free time, you can catch her at a local restaurant enjoying the city vibe.

John Giammarco

Account Executive

John is Boston born and raised. He has 5 years of sales experience both selling and running a team. In his spare time, he loves being at the beach, a good BBQ and relaxing with family/friends.

Mike Pescione

Business Development

Mike is a young sales professional with a background in software selling. He graduated from Plymouth State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, fishing, Martha’s Vineyard, traveling, the outdoors, movies, etc. He is also a huge fan of the Premier league and a Liverpool supporter. Go Reds!

Tim Cotter

Business Development

Tim graduated Saint Micheal’s College with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology. A mixture of different jobs has led him to sales. He enjoys all things outdoors and has a love hate relationship with golf.

Kranthi Pabba

Sr Backend Engineer

Kranthi is a backend engineer with extensive experience in Database development and administration. He has worked with Oracle and SQL Server Database through his career. He has a masters degree in Management & Information Systems, with a bachelors in computer science. He has been living in Quincy, MA for about 7 years and loves beaches & vacations.

Daniel Walsh

Business Analyst

Dan joins the team as a Business Analyst. Most recently, Dan worked for Wayfair and has previous experience in higher ed, recruiting, and as a pastor. He is an alumnus of the University of Maine and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. When he isn’t crunching data in Tableau or SQL, Dan is coaching soccer and spending time with his wife, 3 children, and dog on the North Shore.

Manthan Thakker

Software Engineer Co-op

Manthan is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science at Northeastern University, Boston. He has been a co-founder of PropsandParty, a local e-commerce business. He aspires to become a full-stack software developer and is passionate about Data Science. In his free time, you can find him on the cricket ground smashing big shots, playing piano or creating some fancy 3D Animations.
