Don’t keep your in-store promotions a secret from people who find your business online! You can feature an offer on your business listings on Google and Bing for FREE. It’s super easy to do, and it can result in more customers visiting your business.

First, you will need to create FREE online listings for your business on Google and Bing. Once you have claimed and verified your business listings, you can add a featured deal to them! That means that you can advertise your in-store offers to people searching online. It won’t cost you anything. It’s a fantastic way to grab the attention of people searching online for the services that you offer.

Post a Special Offer on Your Google My Business Listing

1.

To post a special offer on your Google business listing, login to Google My Business and click on ‘Posts’ on the left side menu.

2.

If you’ve never created a post before, click on ‘Create your first post’. Otherwise, click the round blue button at the bottom of the page.

3.

Click on ‘Offer’ at the top of the popup. There are several kinds of posts that you can add to your Google listing. For this example, we’re going to create a post with a limited time offer.

4.

It’s always a good idea to include a photo that will grab a customer’s attention. If you have an image that relates to your offer, click on the blue camera image to add it to the offer post.

5.

Now, click on “Write your post” and type a compelling description of your offer. You’ll want to explain what the offer includes and how the customer will benefit.

When you’re finished, click on “Offer title” and add a name for your offer. Then, select the start date and end date for your offer.

6.

The last three fields are optional. You can add a coupon code, a link to a webpage where the offer can be redeemed, or terms and conditions.

If you’re a Pingup subscriber and your offer relates to one of the services in your menu, you can include your Pingup booking webpage link as the “Link to redeem offer”. That will help more customers instantly request your services straight from Google.

7.

If you want to preview the offer before you make it public, click the ‘Preview’ link in the very top right corner. When you’re satisfied with your offer, go ahead and click the blue ‘Publish’ button!

8.

Once you’ve published your offer post, you will see it in your Google My Business dashboard. To check what your customers will see, go to Google search or Google Maps and search for your business! If you scroll down, you can see an example of what a finished offer post looks like on a business listing in Google search and Google Maps.

Add a Special Offer on Your Bing Places Listing

1.

Head over to Bing Places and login to your account. In your Bing Places account when managing a business listing, you should see a section to create an offer. Click on “Add deal or discount” to get started with your offer.

2.

First, Bing will ask you to choose a type of deal. You can create a deal that either offers a discount or a free service. For this example, we’re going to choose to create a deal with a discount.

3.

If you also selected to create a deal with a discount, you will now need to provide the amount of the discount. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to limit the discount to specific products or services next.

4.

Now that you’ve specified the discount amount, you can select any restrictions that apply to your deal. Depending on what you select, you might need to provide additional information.

5.

The last step is to provide a coupon code ( if available ), the start and end date, whether it’s an in-store or online only deal, and a website URL for your deal. If you don’t have a specific webpage for your deal, you can include the URL for your business website.

If you’re a Pingup subscriber and your offer relates to one of the services in your menu, you can include your Pingup booking webpage link as the “Deal or discount URL”. That will help more customers instantly request your services straight from Bing.

6.

Once you click ‘Save’, you’re all set! Your offer should be live on your listing. If you need to update your offer, just click on “Manage deals and discounts” on the left side.
